Committee of Trustees
A committee of Trustees is responsible for the necessary decisions required for the operation of the Association and Trustees are elected for a one year term at the Annual General Meeting of the Association, held each October/November. The Trustees are empowered to co-opt additional individuals with specific skills. The present members of the Committee are listed below; they are all volunteers and most of them are visually impaired.

John Price - Chair
"I am privileged to once again serve TBA and its members as Chair of the Trustees. The Association has been of great assistance to me in the past and I wish to repay that help through committee work as well as in my continuing role as Centre Manager."

Margaret Carter - Secretary
"I became involved with TBA when working at Dukinfield library where the Centre for Visually Impaired People was situated. Having served as Secretary of TBA for several years I stepped down to give someone else the chance to be involved. However the day-to-day bustle of the the office called and I am once again in the firing line, where I can see at first-hand TBA's good work."

Ray Carter - Treasurer
"I find my work for TBA rewarding and am always on the lookout for more ways to raise funds to enable the Association to continue to further the interests of the members and indeed all visually impaired people in Tameside."
